Meet Dr. Tomaich
After graduating from UCLA with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1996, Dr. Tomaich completed a 7 year dual degree/oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program at UC San Francisco School of Dentistry and UC Davis School of Medicine. After being awarded an M.D. degree from UC Davis, he completed his surgical residency at UCSF. Dr. Tomaich’s residency included rotations throughout hospitals in Northern California as well as Guy’s/St.Thomas’ NHS Trust in London.
Dr. Alex Tomaich has enjoyed practicing in Davis since he opened his office in 2003. His commitment to oral and maxillofacial surgery is reflected both in his investment in cutting edge office technology and through his frequent attendance of continuing education conferences. He has also been an ardent community supporter through his volunteer work at the Davis Communicare Health Clinic and his undergraduate internship program with UC Davis. He is presently an Assistant Clincal Professor at UC Davis Medical Center and is part of the craniofacial surgery team treating children with facial anomalies such as cleft lip and palate. Dr. Tomaich is also on staff at Sutter Medical Center and Woodland Healthcare. He is a licensed dentist, a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, as well as a licensed physician.
Additionally, Dr. Tomaich, MD, DDS, is a member of several professional organizations including: American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, California Associations of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, American Medical Association, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, California Dental Association, Sacramento District Dental Society, International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, among others.
In his free time, Dr. Alex Tomaich enjoys running, swimming, mountain biking, skiing and hiking with his family. They are happy to be in Davis and enjoy the quality of life this area offers.
